Raymond "Junior" Bowles, 73, of Hornersville, Mo., died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Hospital in Kennett.

Born May 22, 1931, in Blytheville, Ark., son of the late Raymond Bowles and Peggy Stokes, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict and a custodian at Senath-Hornersville School. He was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church.

On Nov. 8, 1954, in Hornersville, he married Mary Francis Maxwell, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Tim Bowles, of Hornersville and Larry Bowles, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one daughter, Jody Ramage, of Arbyrd; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Bowles and one sister, Wilma Samples.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 12, at the Bradshaw Emerson Funeral Home Chapel in Hornersville with Brother Bobby Austin officiating.

Burial was in the Horner Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Johnny Brown, Tommy Burgess, Dewayne Hensley, Thomas Arant, Billy Wyrick and Bob Randl.
