Dora Elizabeth Monan Collins, 96, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, April 8, 2005, at Caruthersville.
Born Nov. 27, 1908, in Stewart, Mo., daughter of the late James Randolph Monan and Fannie Elizabeth Reno, she was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church and the Eastern Sta.
On Feb. 3, 1929, in Marion, Ark., she married Thomas Williard "Bill" Collins, who preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1968. She was also preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Bill Collins, of Caruthersville; one daughter, Betty Bond, of Caruthersville; six grandchildren, Julie Boyd, Jim and John Martin, Jennifer Croghan, Libby Slater and Tom Collins and 12 great-grandchildren, Josh, Chelsea, Graham and Gracie Martin, Jena and Amy Boyd, Cate and Brad Croghan, Isabel and Jacob Collins and Corey and Drew Slater.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, at the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Martin, Bob Hughes, Tom Collins, David Boyd, Tom Croghan and John Martin.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
