Oliver Beckman, 92, of Kennett, formerly of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
Born Jan. 23, 1913, in Lindsborg, Kan., son of the late Edwin and Olivia Weistrand Beckman, he was a member of the Tennessee Valley Conference Pentecostal Holiness Church.
On Oct. 17, 1936, in Lilbourn, Mo., he married Cora Beatrice Schuerenberg, who preceded him in death on June 7, 1999. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Naomi Faye Beckman and one brother, Vern Beckman.
Survivors include, three daughters, Marion "Bonnie" Taylor of Hayti, Mo., June Marshall, of St. Louis, Mo., and Belle Lewis, of manila, Ark.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs. Leroy Thornton and James Chipman officiating.
Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Taylor, Mark Taylor, Tony Marshall, Brad Lewis, Michael Jackson and Jason Glass.
Honorary pallbearers were Clayton Presson and Jeremy Ledbetter.
