Hester Mayme Arnold, 91, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems.
Born April 25, 1913, in Union city, Tenn., daughter of the late Earl Thomas and Dora Leona Nelson Campbell, she was employed at Brown Shoe Company and was a member of the Central Church of Christ of Caruthersville.
On Jan. 4, 1947, she married Fred Bounds, who preceded her in death on May 29, 1974. She later married Rice P. Arnold on May 8, 1975. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1976. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include three nephews, George Campbell and wife, Linda, of Olive Branch, Miss., Fred "Bubba" Campbell and wife, Darlene, of Cherokee Village, Ark., Perry Campbell and wife, Phyllis, of Marks, Miss., and two nieces, Carolyn Roten and husband, Preston, of Barton, Miss., and Sharon Monroe and husband, Lucky, of Naples, Fla.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 28, at the Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville with Mike McDaniel and Don Reel officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville..
Pallbearers were Ray Gurley, Denver Meek, Bill Broderick, James Mott, Doug McDowell and Don Abernethy.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
