Born July 13, 1924, in Carmi, Ill., son of the late Christian W. and Flora Winter Botsch, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European Theater. He was a farmer and a member of the United Methodist Church.
On Dec. 25, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Helen Harmon, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Don Botsch, of Bernie; one daughter, Nancy Wilson, of Jefferson City, Mo.; three brothers, Ernest, Erwin and Orlando Botsch, all of Bernie and three grandchildren, Tim, Brad and Libby Wilson, all of Jefferson City.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Susan Marner-Sides officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at the Bernie Cemetery.
