Jimmy and Heather McClain of Kennett announce the birth of their son, Silas James McClain, born Feb. 4, 2005, at Northeast Arkansas Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

He weighed 9 pounds and 15 ounces and was 22 inches long.

He is the grandson of Doug and Kathy Parker of Dutton, Ala., and Jim and Diane McClain and Nelda and Randy Morgan, all of Kennett.

He is welcomed by big brother, Parker and big sister, Molly.
