Arvil Eddie Coleman, 65, of Bethalto, Ill., died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at his residence.

Born June 18, 1939, in Portageville, Mo., son of Jessie William and Ruth hazel Coleman, he was a U.S. Army veteran, and was employed at General Motors.

On July 24, 1976, in Lemay, Mo., he married Mary Lou Jones, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one daughter, Melissa Johnson and husband, Bill, of O'Fallon, Mo.; five brothers, Robert Coleman and wife, Barb, Jerry Coleman and wife, Giva and Dennis Coleman and wife, Connie, all of Malden, Mo., James Coleman and wife, Nancy, of Moro, Ill., and Ronnie Coleman, of St. Louis County, Mo.; two sisters, Myra Stephens, of Bethalto and Carolyn Shelton, of St. Ann, Mo., and two grandchildren, Brandy and Sophie Johnson, both of O'Fallon.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Coleman and one sister, Theresa Coleman.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Friday, March 25, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. with the Rev. Jim Cornman officiating.

Memorials may be made to the charty of one's choice.
