Gertrude Gearing, 95, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Medical Center in Hayti, Mo.
Born Nov. 8, 1909 in Wynne, Ark., daughter of the late William and Gertrude Davis, she was a member of the True Light Missionary Baptist Church.
She married Scott Gearing, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, William Lee, James, Ollie and Luther Davis and four sisters, Bertha Lee Jackson, Annie Bell and Lorene Davis and Ethel B. Hunt.
Survivors include 30 nieces and five nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville, Mo., with the Rev. Andrew Mitchell officiating.
Burial was in the Morgan Ridge Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Julius and Devon Saxton, Tyron and Byron Mitchell, Walter K. Trammell Jr., and Walter A. Trammell.
