Willie Prather

Willie Cleveland Prather, 65, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at his residence.

Born July 27, 1941, in Osceola, Ark., son of Kattie McEwen and the late Robert Prather, he was employed at Avis Car Rental in St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife, Annie L. Prather; his mother, Katie McEwen; five sons, Willie Robert and wife, Linda, of Caruthersville, Ronald McKee and Michael Ray and wife, Bridgett, all of Dallas, Texas, Alphonso Jerome and wife, Bernetta, of Clarksville, Tenn., and John Dewayne, of San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Leara Ann Harvell and husband, Robert, of Springfield, Ill., Katie Delorise Anthony and husband, Delano, of Kansas City, Kan., and Connie Powell and husband, Damien, of Ft, Lauderdale, Fla.; one step-son, Walter Howard Bell and wife, Maria; three brothers, Cornelius, of California, Edward, of Osceola and Robert, of Toledo, Ohio and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Pentecostal Power Deliverance Temple with Bishops James Leroy Lane and Jesse L. Prather officiating.

Pallbearers were Walter H. Bell, Ronald M., Michael R., Willie, Alphonso J., and John D. Prather, Stephen I.N. Graves and Lamonte Bell.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
