Annie Fletcher

Annie Mae Fletcher, 82, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Sikeston, Mo.

Born Dec. 25, 1922, in Wardell, Ark., daughter of the late Sam and Mildred Stroughter, she was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hayti.

On Nov. 2, 1941, she married Rev. George T. Fletcher.

Survivors include 10 children, Helen Pogue and husband, Earnest and Freda Butler, all of Hayti, Mo., Eddie B. Fletcher and wife, Gwen, Joseph Fletcher and wife, Joyce, George T. Fletcher Jr., Deloise Brown, all of Kansas City, Mo. and Ethel Fletcher, Larry Fletcher and wife, Connie and Phillis Fletcher, all of Denver, Colo., and Theada F. Williams and husband, Ronald, of Sikeston; one brother, Allen Hunt and wife, Jean, of Summerset, J.J.; one sister, Eddie Mae Potts, of East St. Louis, Mo.; 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at noon, Saturday, March 5, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti, with Pastor Ronald Williams Sr. officiating.

Burial was in the Portageville, Mo. Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Pogue, James Reed Jr., Joe Dillard, Eddie Lashawn Drake, Antoine Fletcher and Earnest Pogue, Jr.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
