Purvis D. Jones, 69, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at his residence.

Born Aug. 24, 1935, son of the late John Mark and Dora Jane Jones, he was a mechanic and owner/operator of Jones Automotive in Malden.

On Oct. 11, 1969, in Malden, he married Glenda Deloris Barks, who preceded him in death on June 9, 1999. He was also preceded in death by one son, Phillip Jones and one sister.

Survivors include three sons, Andy Jones and Randy Ogden, both of Malden and David Ogden, of Kennett; four daughters, Lisa Jones Grantham and Sarah Stephens, both of Malden, Sheila Jones, of Alabama and Pamela Jones, of Montana; one brother, Curt Jones, of Owensboro, Ky; two sisters and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 8, at the Landess Funeral Home of Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Heflin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery-1st addition in Malden.
