Ripple Irene Grissom Fagan, 88, of Metairie, La., formerly of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at her residence.
Born Oct. 18, 1916, in Itawamba County, Miss., daughter of the late Austin and Alice Grissom, she was a lifelong member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ.
On May 6, 1935, in Corning, Ark., she married Kenneth Johnny Fagan, who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1999. She was also preceded in death by six brothers; three sisters and one grandson, Christopher Stultz.
Survivors include two daughters, Meridith Yvonne Fagan Olree, of Metairie, and her husband, Joe, of Crofton, Md., and Judi Weber and husband, Joe, of Effingham, Ill.; one brother, Dale Grissom, of Dexter, Mo.; one sister, Lola Owens, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandsons, Scot Olree and wife, Laura, and Mark Brian Olree, all of Metairie; one granddaughter, Shanna Dawn Stultz of Belleville, Ill., and one great-grandchild, Forrest Adler Moehle, of Belleville.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today, Friday, March 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Harrison, Bill Lovelace and Dale Grissom officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were James Hackworth, Robert Powell, Tommy Samples, Toliver Brown, Dale Grissom and Joe Skaggs.
