Violet Louanie Brewer, 88, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at NHC HealthCare in Kennett
Born Sept. 17, 1916, in Ellsinore, Mo., daughter of the late Robert and Seeney Carouthers Carter, she was a homemaker.
On June 8, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., she married Clarence Lawrance, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1981. She later married Bill Brewer, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Don, Robert, Joseph Wesley, Joseph and Edward Moses Carter and two sisters, Mary Crunkleton and Martha Carter.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Lawrance and wife, Judy, and Johnny Lawrance, all of Kennett and Delbert Lawrance and wife, Willie, of Senath, Mo.; two daughters, Viola Hufford and husband, Marvin, of Tallapoosa, Mo. and Lou Ella Lawson and husband, Harold, of Essex, Mo.; three sisters, Daisy Hanger, of Southland, Ore., Lila Allmon and husband, Leonard, of Sweethome, Ore., and Flora Kirby, of Dexter, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, March 3, at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo., with the Rev. Charles Avants officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
