Willie Pearl Sanders, of Ashland, Miss., died Sunday Feb. 27, 2005 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, at the age of 69.
Born August 16, 1935 in Ashland, Miss., daughter of the late Joseph Poff and Pearl Kimmery Poff.
She was united in marriage on Feb., 14, 1955, to Mr. Ed Sanders who proceeds her in death, also proceeding her in death was a sister, Maxine. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Sanders and wife Sandy of Caruthersville, Mo., Luther Sanders and wife Donna, of Caruthersville, one daughter Patricia Cleveland and her husband Robert, of Caruthersville, two sisters, Mary Rumsey and her husband E.J., of Ashland, Miss., and Louise Binkley, of Memphis, Tenn., six grandchildren, Robert Cleveland, of Grove, Ok., Lesa Dale, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Michael Sanders, of Caruthersville, Lynette Cruz, of Caruthersville, Amanda Luye, of Bragg City, Mo., and Jennifer Sanders, of Caruthersville, three great grandchildren, Meegan and Kayla Sanders, of Hayti, Mo., and Walter Steven Dale IV, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with Rev. Rob Titus officiating. Burial was in the Maple Cemetary.
Pall-bearers were: Micheal Sanders, Jennifer Sanders, Steve Rumsey, Robert Cleveland, Lynette Cruz, and Brent Davis.
