Herman Edward Shultz, 88, of Jackson, Mo., and formerly of Malden, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at Lutheran Home, Cape Girardeau.
Born April 28, 1916, at Mt. Vernon, Ark., a son of the late William Henry and Janie Mason Shultz, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer and member of the First Baptist Church of Clarkton, Mo.
On Jan. 6, 1944, at Clarkton, he married Alfreda Hill who preceded him in death March 24, 2003. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Brown and Irene Sisk.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Alexander of Jackson and Paulette Broadbent of Topeka, Kan.; four sisters, Rose Bartlett of Gideon, Ethel Pentecost of Bossier City, La., Dorothy Douglas of Portageville, Mo. and Gracie Thompson of St. Louis; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from noon Monday, Feb. 21, until time of services at 2 p.m. in the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel of Malden with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
