Rosie May Brown, 71, of Kennett, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born May 15, 1933, in Drew, Miss., daughter of the late Nelson and Carrie Brown, she was a homemaker and a member of the Community Temple Church of God in Christ.
On Feb. 17, 1981, she married Sammy Brown, who preceded her in death in Aug. of 2002. She was also preceded in death by one son; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include eight sons, Precious Brown, of Jefferson City, Mo., Amos Finley Jr. and wife, Josephine, of Caruthersville, Mo., Henry, Dan, Virgil and Billy Finley, all of Kennett, Ricky Brown, of Kennett and David Finley and wife, Cindy, of Kennett; four daughters, Queen Swain and husband, Flent, Roberta Simmons, Brenda Finley and Betty Morris, all of Kennett; one brother, William Davis, of Chicago, Ill.; 55 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Elwood Owens.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Community Temple Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Community Temple Church of God in Christ with Bishop Luke Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
