Hugh Feral Landers, 73, of Gideon, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005 at his residence.

Born April 3, 1931, in Kennett, Mo., son of the late Walter Landers Sr. and Daisy Young Landers, he was a veteran of the Army for the Korean War. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Tallapoosa, Mo.

On December 10, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., he married Bernice Handley, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Sammy Landers and wife, Judy and David Landers, all of Gideon; one daughter, Janie Stone and husband, Tom, of Corbin, Ky.; two brothers, Walter "JR" Landers Jr. of Libourn, Mo. and Don Landers of Malden, Mo.; three sisters, Shirley Goode of Sikeston, Mo., Inez Bond of Risco, Mo. and Ida Belle Terry of Libourn, Mo. and five grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan and Samantha Landers, Lindsay Stone and Randy Barton.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Shelley Stone.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 17 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
