Beula Elizabeth Woodard, 97, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo.
Born Aug. 17, 1907, in Ripley, Tenn., daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Going Bunn, she was a cook in the Caruthersville, Mo. School System and was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville.
On July 15, 1923, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Clarence E. Woodard, who preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1977. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Terry Burrow and one brother, Cecil Bunn.
Survivors include one son, Bob Woodard, of Heber Springs, Ark.; three daughters, Louise Burrow, of Eldon, Mo., Jackie Peterson, of Wardell, Mo. and Betty Johnson, of Caruthersville and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at the Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville with Michael McDaniel and Kevin Lawrence officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Rick Burrow, Don W. Dill, Andy Robinson, Eugene Alexander, Nathan Cole and Joe House.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold and Eugene Bunn and Tim and Austin Johnson.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
