Helen Easter Capps, 88, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon.
Born Aug. 21, 1916, in Arkansas, a daughter of the late Jess and Ida Grant Mitchell, she was a member of the General Baptist Church at Clarkton.
On Oct. 13, 1934, at Senath, Mo., she married Glade Williams who preceded her in death in 1944. On Dec. 27, 1945, in Piggott, Ark., she married Roy Capps, who preceded her in death Jan. 7, 1982.
Survivors include three sons, James Hurbert Williams, of Malden, Mo., Eugene Williams of Abilene, Texas and Roy Capps Jr. of Greenville, Mo.; one daughter, Helen Louise Reed of Gideon; one brother, Alfred "Cotton" Mitchell of Malden; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sons, Charles Williams; four sisters, Madline Baker, Mary Mitchell, Anna Mae Austill, Lida Boone; four brothers, Barny, Lee, Roy and Billy Mitchell.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 13, at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Gideon with the Rev. Everett Meese officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
