Jackie Rowton

Jackie Wilson Rowton, 71, of Kennett, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett

Born Jan. 26, 1934, in Steele, Mo., daughter of the late Everett Jack Rowton and Nobie Marinda Ginn, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include one son, Jewell D. Rowton, of Pasadena, Texas; two daughters, Jackie Lynn Hockaday, of Kennett and Marinda Ann Hess, of Amory, Miss.; one brother, Everett M. Rowton, of Kennett; three sisters, Donna Antee, of Starkville, Miss., Betty Purdom, of Cleveland, Texas and Patty Davis, of Steele, Mo.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
