Born Aug. 31, 1915, in Middle Brook, Mo., son of the late James Lewis and Ethel Farley Fitzgerald, he was a member of the Bethany General Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
On July 30, 1981, in Campbell, he married Altha Juanita Cartwright, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two step-daughters, Glenda Zack, of Fresno, Calif., and Janet Terry, of Selma, Calif.; one step-son, Leroy Shrum, of Selma; two sisters, Ethel McIntyre, of Middle Brook and Anna Russell, Farmington, Mo.; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Fitzgerald, of Granville, Ill. and Kenneth Fitzgerald, of Middle Brook; eight step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Fitzgerald.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at the Bethany General Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bethany Cemetery in Campbell.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
