Clara Lorene Morris McCord, 89, of Rector, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at Lead Hill, Ark.
Born March 10, 1915, in Rector, daughter of the late George W. and Mary F. Morris, she was a homemaker and retired from Brown Shoe Company. She was of the Methodist faith.
She married Rudy Earl McCord, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers; one sister and one step-grandson.
Survivors include one son, Robert Earl McCord and wife, Debbie, of Peach Tree City, Ga.; two daughters, Betty Joe Porter and husband, Tom, of Lead Hill and Linda Sue Parks, of Paragould, Ark.; five grandchildren, Linda Wadkowski, of O'Fallon, Mo., William Lawson Porter, of Alpharetta, Ga. and Jo Chantell Mims, Amanda L. and Rebecca L. McCord, all of Peach Tree; one step-granddaughter, Nancy Ryan, of Paragould; seven great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Mace P. Straubel officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
Pallbearers are Jim McCord, Bryan Helbig, Gene Chadbourne, James C. Mowery, Jack McCord and Rueben Seay.
