Carl McKinley Beaver, 84, of Kennett, died Jan. 26, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Aug. 27, 1920, in Frisbee, Mo., son of the late Gaston and Lula Dehart Beaver, he was a U.S. Army/Air Corp veteran, having served in WWII.

He married Hester Elaine Scott, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Beaver and two in childhood and one sister, Geneva Brower.

Survivors include three step-sons, David and Rayford Grice, both of Kennett and Wayne Brown, of Heber Springs, Ark.; two step-daughters, Marie Burkhead, of Tie, Texas and Sharon James, of Hayti, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Bill Beaver and wife, Donna and Sommer McCormick, all of Kennett, Terry, Don, Sharon and Debbie Brower, all of St. Louis, Mo. and Lisa Brower, of Springfield, Mo., and 11 step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb, Mo.
