Edith Vivian Dale, 86, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at her residence.
Born Jan. 23, 1918, in the Oak Ridge Community of Pemiscot County, Mo., son of the late Walter Earnest and Sarah Letitia Kellums Byrn, she was involved in the family business, Dale T.V. Sales and Service and was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She was involved with the R.S.V.P. Program, Pemiscot County Health System and the Birth Right Organization in Kennett and was a member of the Lions Club Auxiliary and the Pemiscot County Historical Society.
On April 24, 1942, in Caruthersville, she married John S. Dale, who preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2004. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren; one sister and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, with Father Dan Hirtz officiating. Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Tony, Damon, Zach, Devon, Isaac and Eric Dale.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
