Louis Joseph Emanuelli, Jr., 84, of Dyersburg, Tenn., died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at his residence.

Born April 23, 1920, in Dyersburg, son of the late Louis and Massamina Sicco Emanuelli, he served in the United States Coast Guard and owned a dry cleaning business. He was a member of the Tucker Street Church, the VFW Watkins Finch Post of Dyersburg, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 46 of Dyersburg and the Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association.

On August 3, 1955, in Desoto County, Miss., he married Georgia B. Davis, who preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 2004.

Survivors include one step-son, King Bradshaw, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one step-daughter, Linda Soles, of Harligen, Texas; two sisters, Maria Cecilia, of Nazareth, Ky., and Frances Webb, of Miami, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 17 at the Tucker Street Church with the Rev. Bob Miller officiating.

Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Neil Doolin, Clifford Hopgood, Tracy W. Latham, Nick Reeves, Ronald Hansford and Bill Van Sant.

Honorary pallbearers were Gene Phillips and Doty Johnston.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
