James Bruce

James Wilson Bruce, 72, of Farmington, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at Parkland Helath Center.

Born June 15, 1932, at Poplar Bluff, Mo., a son of the late Lloyd Wilson and Ruth LaMasterson Bruce, he was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from McDonnell-Douglas at St. Louis.

On April 8, 1993, at St. Louis, he married Melvina Williamson who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Nelda Louise Bruce of DeSoto, Mo.; one step-daughter, Faye Bruce of Qulin, Mo.; four step-sons, Danny Jackson, Gideon, Mo., Dennis Jackson, of Bernie, Mo., Mike Jackson of Clarkton, Mo. and Davie Jackson of Qulin; three brothers, Vernon Bruce of Poplar Bluff, Lloyd Wilson Bruce of Texas and Lee Bruce of Wisc.; five sisters, Margie Timmons of Poplar Bluff, Gladys Hyde of Arnold, Mo., Mary Parker of Mehlville, Mo., Maggie Ramos of Florissant, Mo. and Frances Bruce; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Jan. 23, at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden with Brother Jerry Bruce officiating.

Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery of Lilbourn, Mo.
