Hermenna Elizabeth Alsup, 84, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born July 6, 1920, in Hayti, Mo., daughter of the late Edward T. and Rebecca Noble Adams, she was a clerk at Kohn's Department Store in Hayti and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville.
On Feb. 4, 1945, in Hayti, she married James W. Alsup, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one sister, Wilma Mae Cecil, of St. Louis, Mo.; and two nieces, Judith Ann Drone, of New Providence, N.J., and Terry Lynn Etling, of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John H. Adams.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kirwin officiating.
Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Leon D. Drone, Mark Etling, Jim Bob Stephens, Jessie Hall, Richard Kohn and Claude Whitener.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
