Jack Russell Burns, 64, of Kennett, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Helena Regional Hospital in Helena, Ark.
Born Feb. 3, 1940, in Kennett, son of Henrietta Pauline Wicker Burns, of Kennett and the late James Russell Burns, he was a high school teacher and football coach.
On Dec. 20, 1969, he married Suzanna Finley, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two daughters, Elizabeth Stephens and husband, Kimbrough, of Helena and Katie Christain and husband, Heath of Kennett; one brother, James G. "Sonny" Burns, of Kennett and two grandchildren, Caroline and Jack Stephens, both of Helena.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at the First United Methodist Church in Kennett with the Rev. Paul Lanning officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Kimbrough Stephens, Heath Christain, Mike Finley, Mark Baker, Scott Finley, Chris Baker and Chad Derowitsch.
