Julio Gobea, Jr., 26, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.

Born June 18, 1978, in Houston, Texas, son of Julio Gobea and Gloria Jean Howell Hatley, he was employed at Teroy Supply Company in Caruthersville and a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

On Feb. 14, 2001, he married Amber Lee Hall, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Julio Gobea, II, of Caruthersville; one daughter, Piper Lee Gobea, of Caruthersville; his mother, Gloria Hatley, of Caruthersville; one sister, Barbara Isable, of Caruthersville; one half-sister, Stacy Lynn, of Jonesboro, Ark.; one half-brother, Joe Daniel Gobea and his grandparents, Gilbert and Barbara Jean Hassen, of St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.
