Leon Lemonds

Leon O. Lemonds, 87, of Kennett, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo.

Born March 7, 1917, in Kennett, son of the late Edgar and Beulah Charlton Lemonds, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

He married Naomi Noelken, who preceded him in death and he later married Christina Crumley, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Michael Lemonds, of Dittmer, Mo. and Patrick Lemonds, of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Linda Lemonds, of Las Vegas, Nev., Peggy Reed and Sandra Parks, both of San Diego, Calif., and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 12 with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial was in the Sumach Cemetery at Holcomb, Mo.

Pallbearers were C.E. Lemonds, Randy Morgan, Tracy Lemonds, Carl Williams and Gene Lemonds.
