Clyde Elizabeth Cook, 86, of Thayer, Mo., formerly of Rector and Jonesboro, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Shadow Oaks Care Center in Thayer.
Born Aug. 5, 1918, in Wilmar, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Phillip Edmonson and Mima Jane Edmonston Schell.
On Dec. 23, 1936, she married Allen Cook, who preceded her in death on May 25, 1985. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry D. Cook and Rudy V. Cook; one brother, W.R. Schell; one sister, Katherine Swindle and one grandson, Dr. Shane Cook.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip D. Cook, Jr. and wife, Gloria, of Jonesboro and Roger D. Cook and wife, Donna, of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Karen Fiorino and husband, Joseph, of Thayer; one brother, Allen Douglas Schell, of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Frances Schuermann, of Boone, N.C. and Ann Cope, of Kennett; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Karnes officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers are Phillip Cook, Jr., Brett Cook, Joe Fiorino, Bruce Cook, Gary Mills, Derek Webb and Mark Ashby.
