James Denman Powell, Jr., 49, of Senath, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at the Senath Nursing Center.

Born July 19, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, son of the late James Denman, Sr. and Alice M. Williams Powell, he was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.

Survivors include one brother, Rev. Mark Powell and wife, Kim, of Risco, Mo.; three nieces, Anna, Sarah and Grace Powell, all of Risco; one uncle and aunt, Rev. Joe Williams and wife, Patty, of Malden and several cousins.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. James Hamlett officiating.

Burial was in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
