Oma Hester Wilkerson, 90, of Clarkton, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born June 12, 1914, in Mountain View, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Callie Cross Gale.
On Dec. 24, 1936, in Hickman, Ky., she married Walter Carl Wilkerson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Wilkerson; one daughter, Judy Terry; three brothers, Eldon, Everett and Elmer Gale; two sisters, Eva Moneymaker and Effie Coffman; three grandchildren, John and Russell Presson and Ricky Wilkerson and one great-grandchild, Melissa George;
Survivors include one son, Bobby Wilkerson, of Clarkton; three daughters, Betty Presson, of Owosso, Mich. and Nadine Hughes and Carolyn Smith, both of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Thelma Brown, of Licking, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Crain officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
