Marie C. Smith Sparks, 85, of St. Louis, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 in St. Louis Mo.

Formerly of Glennonville, Mo., she was an author, playwright and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in St. Louis.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynne Rabbitt; two sons, Bruce Sparks and his wife, Charlene and John Sparks and his wife, Diane; one sister, Virginia Pallme; one brother, Elliot Smith and wife, Francis; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Glennonville, Mo. with the Father Glenn Eftink officiating.

Burial will be held in St. Teresa's Cemetery in Glennonville.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
