Russell Andrew Shatley, 97, of Cardwell, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born Dec. 24, 1907, in Paragould, Ark, son of the late Andrew J. and Melinda Rose Shatley, he was a retired custodian and bus driver for the Greene County Tech School District. He was a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church of Cardwell.
Survivors include three sons, Leon Shatley and wife, Arlena, of Sterling Heights, Mich., Hughlen D. Shatley and wife, Deloris, of Paragould, Ark. and Curtis D. Shatley and wife, Dianna, of Jonesboro, Ark.; three daughters, Ewald B. Frontz and husband, Dennis, of Old Hickory, Tenn., Sharon Burroughs and husband, Jimmie, of Hermitage, Tenn. and Carla D. Swindle of Paragould; one sister, Glenevee Jones of Fennville, Mich.; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alline Shatley, one son-in-law, Leon Swindle, infant triplets, three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Leland Jim Dement officiating.
Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Shatley's grandsons and granddaughters.
The family suggests memorials be made to Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell, Mo.
