James Sidney Braden, 72, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born June 15, 1932, in Senath, son of the late James Oscar and Jennie Nuckles Braden, he was a U.S. Air force veteran.

On June 11, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mazel Hyde, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include three daughters, Teresa Branum and Joyce Danels, both of Kennett and Sherry Haddon and husband, John, of Guntown, Miss.; one brother, Nolan "Slim" Braden, of Pollard, Ark.; one sister, Georgie Marie Benfield, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brian and Luke Branum, Donnie Pierce and Jessica Sullivan and one great-grandchild, Braden Elisha Pierce.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Olin "Butch" Braden, Elvis Braden and Gerald Braden; two sisters, Bonnie Hyde and Wilma Butler and his step-mother, Lois Braden Crawley.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Friday, Dec. 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Cooper officiating.

Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donnie Pierce, Brian and Luke Branum, Josh Sullivan, John Haddon and Larry Sawyer.
