Raymond Francis Walker, 85, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 21 at the Gideon Care Center.

Born Oct. 20, 1919, in Hampton, Ky., son of the late Willie Raymond Walker and Maude Viola McAnally Walker, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII.

On Oct. 1, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Rose Mary Wright, who survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Mary Taylor of Kimmswick, Mo., Diana Hagen of Milam, Texas and Brenda Gallaher of Manchester, Mo.; one brother, Calvin Walker of Gideon, Mo.; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Grace Godsey.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon, Mo.

Graveside services with military rites will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 27 at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. with the Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.
