Marguerite Martin, 90, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at the Methodist Hospital in Dyersburg, Tenn.
Born Aug. 12, 1914, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., daughter of the late Clyde Smith and Minnie Wilhe Baccus Harris, she worked in the pharmacy department of Wallgreens in Memphis, Tenn., and was in the restaurant business in Memphis. She was a member of the Raleigh Central Christian Church of Memphis and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She married Gordon D. "Pooch" Martin, who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1968. She was also preceded in death by one son Johnny Mac Martin Shane.
Survivors include one daughter, Shari Hutchison and husband, Jack, of Caruthersville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. W. Kirwin Stewart, Jr. officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were John Hutchison, John Young, William S. Taylor, Ted Streete, Ronnie Price and Steve Kuykendall.
