Mary Evelyn Lomax, 61, of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at her residence.
Born June 7, 1943, in Senath, Mo., she was the daughter of Oberia Bailey Duffel of Kennett and the late Burlas Duffel.
On Aug. 12, 1960, in Senath, she married Carroll Lomax, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Eddie Lomax and wife, Shana, of Hornersville; one daughter, Debbie Lomax Kellums, of Hornersville; five brothers, Cletus Duffel, of Greers Ferry, Ark., Ronnie Duffel, of Pierre, S.D., Rickey Duffel, of Linclen, N.C., Terry Duffel, of Clarksville, Ark. and Mickey Duffel, of Hornersville; two sisters, Debie Jones, of Jonesboro, Ark. and Theresa Jones, of Weiner, Ark.; two half-brothers, Steve Duffel, of Piggott, Ark. and Robert Long, of Kennett; one half-sister, Marie Stewart, of Steele, Mo.; two step-brothers, Rev. Jim Duffel, of LaPanto, Ark. and Rev. Roger Duffel, of Fayetteville, Ark. and three grandchildren, Allyson and Zake Lomax and Tyler Kellums.
She was preceded in death by one son, Carroll Edward Lomax, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Coldwater Methodist Church with the Revs. Bob McNabb, Freddy Bowen and Andrew Lovins officiating.
Burial was in the Horner Cemetery.
Pallbearers were brothers and sisters, Cletus, Ronnie, Rickey, Terry and Mickey Duffel, Debbie and Theresa Jones.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
