Eva Mae Kelley, 93, of Olive Branch, Miss., died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at her residence.
Born Sept. 11, 1911, in the Black Island Community of Pemiscot County, Mo., daughter of the late Johncy and Ella Mae Helton Glass, she was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
In 1933, she married Sam Bynum, who preceded her in death in 1951. She later married Jessie Kelley in 1952, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include four sons, Ivan Bynum, of Evansville, Ind., Alvin Bynum, of Yarbro, Ark., Glen Bynum, of Plant City, Fla. and Harold Bynum, of Apoka, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Young, of Olive Branch, Miss. and Wanda Cowart, of Caruthersville, Mo.; three brothers, Clarence Glass and Josh Palmer and Jim Palmer; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Allen Benson, Junior Hostler, William L. Craig, Larry Bynum and Erik Tinker.
