Louise Cooper, 78, of Linn, Mo., formerly of Portageville, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Jefferson City, Mo.
Born Feb. 20, 1926, in Pemiscot County, Mo., a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Violet Ann Hawkins Rone, she was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church.
She married Thomas Jackson Phillips in Pemiscot County. He preceded her in death in February 1985. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Jackson Phillips; two brothers, Allen Andrew Rone and Everett Edward Rone; two sisters in infancy, Marillian Rone and Gracie Marie Rone.
Survivors are one daughter, Ann Elizabeth Steinbeck and husband, Kenny, of Linn; one son, Michael Lee Cooper and wife, Becky, of Villa Ridge, Mo.; two brothers, Jake Rone of Portageville and John Rone of St. Louis; one sister, Betty Carver of Mokane, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kristopher Lee Steinbeck of Linn, Tina Brockett of Cape Girardeau and Tommy Phillips Jr. of Portageville; three great-grandchildren, Kirsten and Kohl Steinbeck of Linn and Erin Brockett of Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at the John J. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery at Portageville.
Pallbearers were Kenny Steinbeck, Kris Steinbeck, Jake Rone, John Rone, Martin Ray and Bobby Irions.
