Roy Dale Rice, Jr., 73, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Southern Missouri Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Nov. 20, 1931, in Heber Springs, Ark., son of the late Roy Dale, Sr. and Annie Higgins Rice, he was owner/operator of Rice Auto Repair Shop and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Malden.
On June 30, 1953, he married Lorene House, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include five sons, Ricky Rice and wife, Vickie, Danny Rice and wife, Gennie, Dennis Rice and wife, Julie and Dale Rice and wife, Teresa, all of Malden and Allen Rice and wife, Jean, of Bloomfield, Mo.; five daughters, Darlene McGee and husband, Ron, Patti McDowell and husband, Darrell, Cathy Merritt and husband, Vernon and Sarah Reed and husband, Chuck, all of Malden and Anita Lively and husband, Terry, of Campbell, Mo.; one bother, John "Slim" Rice, of Malden; two sisters, Juanita Hemerey, of Rose Bud, Ark. and Ruthie Moore, of Malden; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Stacy Rice.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Leroy Young officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
