Letha Lorene Smith, 94, of Hornersville, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 10, 1910, in Ridgely, Tenn., daughter of the late Albert Sidney and Lura V. Murray Knott, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hornersville.
On Sept. 6, 1927, in Manila, Ark., she married A.M. "Dode" Smith, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1963. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bud Giles and one sister, Althea Bunch.
Survivors include three sons, Verlon Smith and wife, Joyce, of Cherokee Village, Ark., Bobby Smith and wife, Sue, of Byhalia, Miss. and Joe Smith and wife, Gail, of Cartersville, Mo.; two daughters, Ada Moore and husband, Buddy, of Hornersville and Charla Foresythe and husband, Kenny, of Hartville, Mo.; one sister, Cordie Webb, of Leachville, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the First Baptist Church in Hornersville with the Revs. Doug Clinton and Freddie Bowen officiating.
Burial was in the Horner Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Daniel Burlison, Gary Foresythe, Brandon Lane, Chris Moore, Ray Murphy, J.C. Roth and Paul Smith.
Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
