Harlin Dean Goss, 61, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti.
Born Aug. 1, 1943, in West Plains, Mo., he was the son of the late Jim Goss and Wray Hall Austin. He attended the McCarty School and was a farmer until his retirement.
On Oct. 10, 1984, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Zubialue "Sue" Shuburte, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Ricky Deaton of Hayti and Gary Deaton of Caruthersville; six daughters, Lisa Quick of Steele, Mo., Theresa Goss of Sikeston, Mo., Mary Estes, Emmie Miller and Vickie Lynn Wells, all of Hayti and Judy Lewis of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Donnie Goss of Caruthersville; one sister, Laura Ellen Houston of Caruthersville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Jackie and Dennie Goss.
The funeral service was held Thursday, Nov. 18, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Richard Wells, Anthony Miller, Jason Schrader, Terry Wells, Terry McCloud, and Shane Deaton.
