Henry Tripp, 76, of Kennett died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at his residence.
Born Feb. 20, 1928, in Eastman, Ga., he was the son of the late William Vance and Ila Mae Holder Tripp. On July 16, 1951, he married Ossie Matthews in Benton Harbor, Mich. She preceded him in death Nov. 28, 1990.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley Nixon and Debbie Patton; and three brothers, Joseph, Earnest and Ed Tripp.
Survivors include five sons, Danny Tripp of Frisbee, Mo., Wayne Tripp of Gobler, Mo., Billy Tripp of Newburn, Tenn., Paul Tripp of Portageville, Mo., and Michael Tripp of Clarkton, Mo.; two daughters, Kathy Davis and Lisa Henfling, both of Kennett; one brother, Don Tripp of Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Hazel Honeycutt of Ocala, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Fincher and Danny, Wayne, Billy, Paul and Michael Tripp.
