Edythe Kirkbride, 91, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born March 29, 1913, in Kennett, daughter of the late John R. and Josephine Kelly McGehee, she was a nurse and a member of the Malden United Methodist Church.

On May 3, 1932, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Robert Cook Kirkbride Sr., who preceded her in death on April 15, 2002. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charley, Lee and Eddie McGehee.

Survivors include one son, Robert Kirkbride Jr. and wife, Janice of Fenton, Mo.; one daughter, Karen Menard and husband, Don, of Livingston, Texas; five grandchildren, Bruce Kirkbride, of Fenton, Bruce Menard, of Chesteron, Ind., Leanne Bollinger, of Jackson, Mo., Kirk Menard, of Wentzville, Mo. and Steve Menard, of Columbia, Mo. and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stan Wood officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Memorials may be made to the Malden United Methodist Church or the Malden Public Library.
