Earl C. "Ted" Crowson, 85, of Piggott, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
Born Nov. 27, 1918, in Greenway, Ark., he was the son of the late C.C. and Della Davis Crowson.
On April 10, 1937, he married Lorene Carpenter, who preceded him in death on Dec. 13, 1999. He later married Kathy Morris on April 7, 2004, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Jimmie D. Crowson and wife, Joan, of Kennett; one daughter, Debbie J. Crowson, of Piggott; two step-children, Kade Brenna and Clint Morris; one brother, William C. Crowson, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Carol Gore, Mia Cooper, Deeanne Costephens, Stacey Harris and Amanda Hinze and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Annette Crowson Haywood and Lorelle Crowson Whiteside and three brothers, James V., L.M. and E.M. Crowson.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 12, at the Irby Funeral Home in Piggott.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.
Pallbearers are Trent Holcomb, Gaylon and Brent Coomer, Blaine Cooper, Tony Gore and Bill Veal.
