Mae Lipsey

Mae Belle Lipsey, 89, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born Dec. 25, 1914, in Kennett, daughter of the late Harry and Catherine Lance Lebo, she was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell.

On Feb. 18, 1935, in Kennett, she married Lee Ervin Lipsey, who preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1971. She was also preceded in death by one son, J.O. Eugene Lipsey; one daughter, Alice Earlene Phelan; four brothers, Buddy, Hubert, Lenard and Arthur Lebo; one sister, Fay Lavern Mathias and four grandchildren.

Survivors include nine children, Robert and David Allen Lipsey, Wanda Faye Neeley, Regena Mae Moses, Lavena Kaye Ray and Hazel Inez Summer, all of Campbell, Betty Irene McMillian and Lonnie Earl Lipsey, both of Malden, Mo., and Donald Wayne Lipsey, of Arnold, Mo.; two sisters, Irene Killian, of Forrest City, Ark. and Iva Perry Phillips, of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Martin Lebo, of Memphis, Tenn., and Bedford Lebo, of New York, N.Y.; 25 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Wood officiating.

Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
