Born June 15, 1942, in Steele, Mo., son of Thomas Gordon and Mary Wintress Bailey, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a sprinkler fitter. He was of the Protestant faith.
On Nov. 13, 1974, in Batavia, Ill., he married Mildred Perdue, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Roger Sigmon, of Pittsview, Ala., Darrell Sigmon, of Oswego, Ill., and Michael Sigmon, of Sandwich, Ill.; one daughter, Joretta Hampell, of Montgomery, Ill.; two sisters, Betty Renfro, of Steele and Ruby Pope, of Dafter, Mich.; one brother, Jimmy Bailey, of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Bailey and two sisters, Coreen Deaton and Mobline Bailey.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
