Frances Virginia Bruce, 75, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at the Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Nov. 1, 1929, in Cooter, Mo., daughter of the late Otis Jimmy and Sue Lyons Renfro, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
On May 8, 1949, in Caruthersville, she married Harold Kenneth Bruce, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Dr. Kenny Bruce, of Lakeland, Tenn.; two daughters, Cindy Woodham, of Birmingham, Ala. and Jan Miller, of Fulton, Mo.; two half-sisters, Maxine Stow, of Fenton, Mo. and Ann Brooks, of Florissant, Mo.; two half-brothers, Henry Hall, of Naylor, Mo. and Louis Hall, of Doniphan, Mo.; one step-sister, Bessie Godair, of St. Louis, Mo., and six grandchildren, Josh and Janee' Woodham, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Paul, Loren and Stephen Bruce, all of Lakeland and Renee' Miller, of Fulton.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Fist Baptist Church with Dr. James Adams officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith Jean, Johnny Young, Don Smith, Steve McKaskle, Wayne Brantley and Lonnie Cagle.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
